Pro-Mail® Version 5.8A1 Is Available Now!

Software Marketing Associates today announced the immediate availability of Pro-Mail Version 5.8A1, the latest release of its powerful software for warehouse management and order fulfillment.

Pro-Mail Version 5.8A1 contains many advances that were based off of valuable requests and feedback from the Pro-Mail user community.

Highlights of Pro-Mail Version 5.8A1


  • Recurring Orders/Automatic Re-Order (available in beta):
    Pro-Mail users can now offer Auto-Ship or Continuity fulfillment services to their clients. With this new feature, Pro-Mail can schedule orders to automatically ship to your clients' customers on a regular basis. Scheduling cycles can either be pre-defined for offers or set by users as they place their orders.

    In some cases, this could mean repeat deliveries of items that are used on an ongoing basis such as vitamins, or water filters. In other cases, this could mean signing up to receive a series of different offerings, as in a book of the month club.

    In both cases, once the user signs up, orders will be generated and credit cards processed automatically at set intervals. Continuity fulfillment programs make it easy for the purchaser to receive the products they need, provide sellers with predictable revenue streams and generate a steady flow of orders for the service provider to fulfill.

  • Client Billing / Invoicing:
    Pro-Mail 5.8A1 includes a completely re-designed fulfillment billing option that allows service providers to define each of their clients billing metrics, associated pricing and billing cycles. The system can then calculate each of their clients’ charges and generate invoices automatically.

  • HTML Email Designer:
    Now you can apply HTML formatting to your order stream emails. The process to create these formatted emails is simple; no programming required. Using this new Email Design tool, you can set colors, fonts, define text and elements, and add images to your clients’ order and shipping related emails.

  • HTML5 Dashboards:
    Configurable Management Dashboards have been upgraded so that the graphs and data displays in the more widely accepted format of HTML5. This allows for them to be used with many devices including Apple and Android smart phones and tablets.

  • Web-to-Print & Custom Kits:
    The Pro-Mail punch-out integration to popular web-to-print software programs allows users to customize materials, such as business cards, and view proofs online. This functionality has been extended to Pro-Mail Custom Assemblies (customized kits) so that the person ordering can now customize one or many the components within a kit.

  • Commission Tracking:
    Client Administrators managing merchandise fulfillment programs can now track and report on commissions by sales person when sales are commissionable by customer.

  • Product / Offer Import Mapping:
    We’ve added the ability to map your Product/Offer Import file. This new tool provides greater flexibility over file format and layout and allows you to focus on just the data you need for each client. The new Product/Offer Import Mapping Tool allows you to build your own formats, but does come with a default definition set-up in Pro-Mail's classic 99 field layout.

  • Order File Mapping:
    We have updated the existing Order Import Mapping Tool to accommodate more complex formats used by some 3rd party shopping carts. This latest update allows mapping of orders where order data and product data are communicated in separate files.
